Obituary of Arnold Ray Keating
Arnold Keating of Moncton passed away at the Moncton Hospital with both his daughters by his side on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the age of 69. Born in New Glasgow, NS, he was the son of the late Arnold and Stella (Best) Keating.
Growing up Arnold would be found at the hockey rink in the early hours of the morning with his father. He loved hockey and played right into his adult years. In a world that is forever changing Arnold embraced the new wave of technology working in the IT industry, he had much success with founding projects as well as working with firewalls and cloud technology. A man whose life was defined by the rumble of an engine. You would find him with his kickstand up and the wind at his back as he road into the sunset on his beloved 2500cc Triumph.
Arnold is survived by his daughters, Sarah Jones of Irishtown, Heidi Keating- Mercer (Kristopher) of Rothesay; sister, Patsy Maillet (Leo) of Moncton; grandchildren, Blaire, Damian and Fallon. Along with his niece and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Arnold was predeceased by a sister, Clara Nye.
As per Arnold’s wishes cremation has taken place at Fergusons Crematorium and there will be no public services held.
Donations in memory of Arnold can be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
