Obituary of Brian John Lilly

Brian J. Lilly of Riverview, NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital with his wife by his side on Friday, August 29, 2025 at the age of 80 years. Born in Montréal, QC, he was a son of the late Charles and Evelyn Lilly.

Brian was employed in industrial sales for 39 years.

Brian was an avid golfer for 69 years as well as being hooked on bowling for 18 years.  After a lengthy illness in 2005 he devoted his free time to giving back. He volunteered at the Hospice Shop from 2010 - 2014 when he became a board member from 2014-16.  Brian was nominated Regional Volunteer of the year in 20l3 from Canadian Diabetes Association. He also volunteered for the City of Moncton in various events including FIFA for two years in a row.  He always loved to travel in Europe and afar.

I wish to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful staff at the Moncton Hospital for their kindness and caring through Brian's journey  

Brian is survived by his wife and best friend of 56 years, Dorothy (Riley); his twin sister, Brenda Vezina (John) of Laval, QC, brothers, Peter Lilly (late Doris) of Florida, USA, George Lilly (Dianna) of Hamilton, ON; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Brian was predeceased by a sister, Carol Butcher.

In keeping with Brian’s wishes, cremation has taken place at Fergusons Crematorium and there will be no public services held.

Donations in memory of Brian made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
