Obituary of Lewis Bartlett

Lewis Bartlett of Moncton, NB passed away at his residence on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at the age of 85 years. Born in Rose Blanche, NL he was a son of the late Jacob and Violet (Strickland) Bartlett.

Lewis was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Airforce with 32 years of service.

He enjoyed fishing , hunting , reading, card games and spending time with his family.

Lewis is survived by his wife and best friend, Annie (Strickland); sons, Roland Meadus (Marie) of Grates Cove, NL, Richard Bartlett (Susan) of Saint André LeBlanc, NB, Todd Bartlett (Carissa) of Dieppe, NB; daughters, Gerri Hamilton (late Wayne) of Winnipeg, MB, Violet Collinson (Robert) of Yellowknife, NWT; brother, John Bartlett (late Susie) of Iona, NS; grandchildren, Kayla,Jason, Dwayne, Kashena, Christa, Nevan, Callie, Chelsea, Ashlyn, Ryleigh and Archer; great-grandchildren, Dawson, Sam, AJ and Dandon.

In addition to his parents, Lewis was predeceased by a brother, Lloyd Bartlett and his furry best friend and companion, Sadie.

In honor of Lewis there will not be any local services held. A service to honour Lewis will be held in NL at a later date.

Donations in memory of Lewis made to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
