Obituary of Tayte Ashton Colby Wilson

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Tayte Ashton Colby Wilson, of Turtle Creek, NB, on Wednesday August 6th, 2025, at the age of 23. Born on January 26th, 2002, Tayte was the beloved son of Jeffrey Wilson (Kelly) and Cristal Cormier (Dale). He will be remembered for his joyful spirit, kind heart, and the laughter he brought to all who knew him.

Tayte was passionate about his work in the woods alongside his dad, where his love for the outdoors shone through. With an amazing personality and a smile that could light up any room, Tayte was always happy and quick to make others laugh. He had a way of making people feel at ease, and his presence was a source of comfort and joy to his family and friends.

Tayte will be forever loved and deeply missed by his parents; his sister, Aneesia Wilson (Jared); step-sisters, Ashley McDavid (Mike) and Amber McDavid (Jordan); step-brothers, Gregory McDavid, Garrett McDavid, and Chandler McDavid (Emily); his nephews, Ben and soon-to-be Elijah; and his nieces, Skyler, Aleigha, and Penelope. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Eleanor MacDonald; maternal grandparents, Theophile and Alfreda Cormier; as well as his Uncle Ivor, Uncle Eugene, and Aunt Cheena.

To honour Tayte’s life, a combined funeral will be held for him and his cousin, Scott.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14th at Fergusons Riverview Funeral Centre, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview between the hours of 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm tp 8:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15th, 2025 at Tidal Church Life Centre (formerly known as the Moncton Wesleyan Church), 945 St. George BLVD, Moncton, at 1:00 pm.

The family encourages those wishing to honour Tayte’s memory to spend time with loved ones, enjoy the outdoors, and cherish the moments that matter most.
