Sending my deepest condolences to Pat's family. Pat was truly an inspiration to us all. I had the great privilege of judging Pat many times. Every time I did, I could see the pure joy and love exude from every part of her. Age definitely did not matter to Pat....it was truly just a number to her. Rest in peace my friend

Pat was such an inspirational part of our skating club. She was always there to support the skaters and encourage them to succeed. Today at her last skate, many wonderful stories and moments were shared with family and friends. Pat will be deeply missed around the rink.

We are very saddened by the loss of Pat. She meant a great deal to our family. Our son, Brennan, was the young skater who had the privilege and pleasure of skating with Pat in the ice show this year. Pat was always there to support him and other skaters in their skating adventures throughout the years. She even gave Brennan her prized skate pendant to take to one of his national competitions for good luck. She was a truly kind, wonderful, giving, enthusiastic and supportive woman! We will miss her so much. The Mariposa family gained so much love and support from Pat.
Our thoughts are with you at this very difficult and sad time.
With sincerest sympathy,
Cheryl, Aubrey, Brennan, Sigourney and Seren Webb

I owe my passion for skating to Pat. I was terrified to compete, to even wear a skating dress, but I was coaxed to give it a try. I showed up in Cape Breton and met Pat who was the only other skater in our category. I thought I was going to throw up but she calmed me down, shared some words of wisdom and encouragement and helped me onto the ice for our warmup. It was the beginning of almost 25 years of friendship.
When I moved to AB and competed for a different section, she always made her way over to me to give me a big hug, and remind me she would be watching me and cheering me on. You were never alone on the ice if Pat was anywhere in the arena.
At adult nationals, there was a spirit award. Every year I voted for Pat, and the for some reason, every year she didn't get it. One year, while in Fredericton (I believe) for nationals, I marched over to Donna (who was in charge of adult skating for Skate Canada) and I told her if Pat didn't win the spirit award that year, that I would never attend another nationals again. Needless to say, Pat won the adult spirit award that year, and I think they retired the award after that. She was the pinnacle of skating spirit for sure!
She always remembered my birthday (the same day as her niece) and went out of her way to message me.
One year, in my groaning about the lack of tea drinkers in Alberta, Pat brought me a box of King Cole tea to competition, to bring me a bit of "home." It was always those little things, on and off the ice, that made her so special, so one-of-a-kind.
We were all so sad to learn of her fall and broken hip, that she wasn't going to make it to Lake Placid. Angela brought "Flat Pat" so she could join us. I wasn't one for selfies but a selfie with Flat Pat was extra special! I was so thrilled to take a selfie with the Real Pat in Innsbruck Austria as she made her way to the first World Masters Games in 2020 as the oldest competitor in figure skating.
Then it was my turn to share my words of wisdom with her, help her onto the ice and encourage her to just skate with her heart, after she was recovering from surgery. Everyone knows there was not a dry eye in the rink that day, as she continued to inspire all of us even if you weren't a skater.
My deepest condolences to the Noddin family and her skating family. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

My deepest sympathies to Pat’s family, friends and anyone who loved her. I’ve known
Pat over the years through figure skating, and I will say that she is one of the greatest people I’ve had the honor and opportunity to be acquainted with. I will treasure the conversations we shared about skating and life in general. She was a positive, witty person who loved and accepted all. She was happy to share her thoughts and life experiences when discussing topics such as aging, pursuing a new goal, or how to handle rude people. She was a gem and will truly be missed. I’ll never forget you Pat! ❤️

I was so privileged to meet this lovely lady at the Winter World Masters Games in Innsbruck. She sat at our table, along with some other Canadian athletes. Pat’s winning smile and genuine manner immediately charmed us all.
Learning she also came from my dad’s hometown was another special connection, and we became Facebook friends.
I’ve enjoyed sharing a little corner of her life and will miss her posts.
I’ve been so blessed to know such a sweet person as Pat, may her light shine on within all of us and continue to spread joy❤️

Pat was adult figure skating royalty. Her good humour, genuine care and concern were unparalleled. I am richer for having shared the ice with Pat and hope she is enjoying eternal freshly flooded ice, skates that forever feel just perfect, unending great conversations and belly laughs. Bravo Pat! Great skate!

Pat was one of my favorite skating students—and my only “snowbird” student to date! I loved that we were able to keep in touch even when she stopped coming to Florida each year. I’m so thankful to have had her be a part of my life!

Pat, we haven't spoken in a while but the memories I have of you in the early skating days- practices, competitions, events, ice shows, wrap up pizza parties and more (!) will forever be etched in my heart and so many skating hearts. You were everyone's biggest cheer leader at the Riverview Skating Club and for that, this skating Mom and former volunteer, thanks you! Rest in peace beautiful lady!
