Obituary of Lois F. Taylor

Lois Taylor of Riverside-Albert, NB passed away at the Forestdale Home on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the age of 96 years. Born in Gunningsville, NB Lois was a daughter of the late Frank and Beatrice Steeves. 

Lois graduated Valedictorian from Bridgedale High School in 1945.  She had a full career working for Sears as the Office Supervisor after being let go from Eaton’s for ‘being domesticated’ (expecting) in 1956.  After retirement she and Nick became snowbirds, something she continued after his death spending over 30 winters in the sun. 

Lois was the last surviving member of her immediate family. 

Lois is survived by her daughter, Wendy Taylor of Riverside-Albert; sons, Nelson Taylor (Barb) of BC, John Taylor of Riverview; five grandsons, Nick Page, Jamie Page (Monica), Ryan Taylor, Stuart Taylor (Jessica), Vaughn Taylor (Taija), one granddaughter Jodie Page (Ru) and four great-grandsons. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lois was predeceased by husbands Ronald (Nick) Taylor and Robert (Bob) Machen, her sisters, Sadie Mitton, Dorothy Mills and brothers, Vaughan and Robert Steeves.

Funeral Arrangements are under the professional care and direction of Fergusons Riverview Funeral Centre, 214 Pine Glen Rd., Riverview, NB, E1B 1V6, (506-857-9544) where visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Burial will take place at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens, Moncton, NB.

In lieu of flowers donations made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
