My condolences in the loss of your loved one. I worked with Shirley at the Canada Employment Centre for years. The best years there were in the CCU with Bernice, Ethel, & Shirley - what a time we had! I also was on the same bus trip to New York City in Nov/Dec 2019 & lo & behold, there was Shirley & her friend - nice surprise after so many years of retirement. I remember her speaking of you boys, your dad & her dad, whom my father knew - lovely family. May God bring comfort to all.
