Obituary of Nancy Anne Ashley
Nancy Anne Ashley of Moncton and formerly of Riverview, passed away peacefully at the Albert House Hospice on Monday, February 3, 2025 at the age of 74 years.
Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of Pauline and the late Ralph Shea. Nancy graduated in 1971 from the Moncton Hospital School of Nursing and was an active member of the alumni. She enjoyed a long career as a nurse, working in the ER Dept at the Moncton Hospital where she was a respected team leader, and with Extra Mural Nursing.
Nancy is survived by her mother Pauline (Melanson) Shea of Moncton; sons, Sean Ashley and his wife Jessica Wilson of Burnaby, BC, and David Ashley and his wife Martha Beardsworth of Moncton, NB; sisters Cathy Shea of Halifax, Linda Shea and her husband David of Calgary, AB; brother, Victor Shea of Toronto, ON; grandchildren, Alice and Roslyn; sisters-in-law, Peggy Maillet and her husband Wayne, Sharon Ingram and her husband Jim, Sheilah Yeomans and her husband Paul, and Debbie Leighton; nieces and nephews, Chris, Nick, Michelle, Julie, Kelly, Allison, Joe, Elizabeth, Phillip, Joe, Tommy, Danny, Tasha, Dilly, Kaity, Lauren, Michelle, Darcy and Liam.
Besides her father Ralph, Nancy was predeceased by her husband Ronald Ashley in 2016; sister, Susan Shea; brother, Danny Shea; mother-in-law, Shirley Isabel Johnson.
A funeral service will be held at the Fergusons Riverview Community Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Road, Riverview (506-857-9544) on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 10:00 am with Father Phil Mulligan presiding. There will be a reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Burial will take place at Alderwood Cemetery, Riverview.
