Catherine Sarah Kaye of the Jordan Lifecare Centre passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the age of 92.
Born in Elgin, NB on August 2, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Caroline (Matthews) Warren.
Catherine lived a full and meaningful life. She spent much of her working career with the T. Eaton Company, later serving as a sterilization aide at The Moncton Hospital. In her later years, she worked in administration at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Catherine found joy in life’s simple pleasures—she loved listening to music, dancing, and drawing. She was a kind and attentive listener, and her greatest happiness came from time spent with her family, of whom she was immensely proud.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Kaye of Pollet River and Matt Kaye (Yvonne) of Pollet River; her beloved grandchildren, Evan, Whitney, Bridgett, Challis, Darcy, Cora, Farrah, and Emma-Lee; and her great-grandchildren, Quinn, Luna, Blaine, and Molly. She will also be remembered by her daughter-in-law, Kelly Kaye, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Catherine was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Owen Kaye (2015); her son, Gerald Kaye (2025); her sisters, Addie Warren and Linda Douthwright; and her brothers, Everett, Edgar, Sheldon, Keith, Chester, Fred, and Lester.
A funeral service will be held at Fergusons Riverview Community Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Road, Riverview (506-857-9544), on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow in the funeral home reception centre, with burial afterward at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
In Catherine's memory, donations made to the Jordan Lifecare Centre, 747 Sanitorium Rd, the Glades, NB E4J-1W6 would be greatly appreciated.
