The only way we can make it through this world with integrity is by having heroes. Dave has always been my hero and he will forever be, until we meet in a better place where there is no arthritis, no bone disease, no war, no heartbreak and.the Toronto Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup!!. Or at least a Canadian team. And hell will have frozen over too.
Now can't you see Dave laughing at my humor?. We will all miss his smile, his wit, his sharp mind, and his love for family, friends and a good night of beer and cards. And none of this was erased by unimaginable pain.
Linda you deserve a gold medal for your support of your man. Kids, your Dad has been the hero to many, far beyond the Maritimes. My wife Cindy, and my kids Laura, Michelle and Aaron have always asked for updates about Dave when any.of us were in Moncton. He has always been a light of fortitude and grace for us as a family and we send sympathies and admiration.
