Firstly, I am so very sorry to hear of Ben's passing; my deepest condolences to his family and friends. Ben and I did our Master's degrees together at Memorial University. During that time I got to know Ben and deeply enjoyed his insights, good humour and thought-provoking mind. We lost touch through the years and as I was searching my email account for another message just today, his name came up which resulted in me deciding to search for him via google in order to reconnect. Sadly, this is how I found out of his death. I will always remember his intelligent and often absurdist humour as well as his insatiable curiosity, desire for knowledge and passion for music. Thank you to his parents for creating and nurturing such a bright mind that will always be remembered fondly.
