Gordie was a neighbor and friend during my childhood in Stoney Creek. We spent many hours playing crazy 8s or going for walks up at the camp. Gordie was always a kind and gentle person. He had a way to communicate with us and we always knew he liked to tease from the big grin on his face. I remember Gordie being protective of my sister and I and would take us by the hand to walk us back to our neighbouring camp. I have many fond memories of Gordie that have stayed with me. I am happy to read that he had a full and happy life.
